/ fit

When Shopify is the right platform

Shopify is worth considering when a store sells, or plans to sell, beyond one local market. The platform handles much of the hosting and update burden. The project still needs careful decisions about markets, payment providers, tax settings and content ownership.

Selling in the US, EU or several countries

We configure Shopify Markets, domains or subfolders, currencies, languages and catalog visibility rules. Payment availability is checked against the merchant's country of registration.

A DTC brand with its own product

We shape the route from the first screen to checkout around the product case, buyer questions and variants. The finished theme remains practical for the team to run.

A move from an older platform

We transfer products and content from the agreed source, map URLs and prepare 301 redirects. Search positions are not guaranteed because Google decides how a migrated site performs.

For a store selling only in Ukraine and relying on local integrations, Horoshop is often easier to operate. Before quoting, we compare platforms against the target markets, payments, catalog and development plan. Shopify vs Horoshop.

/ workflow

From brief to a tested checkout

The delivery window starts once we have access, catalog data, brand assets and approved content. Each phase ends with a concrete result that can be checked before the next payment milestone.

01 · STEP

Discovery and technical plan

We record sales countries, languages, settlement currency, assortment, product source, shipping, payments and advertising channels. Dependencies on Shopify and third party services are named separately.

02 · STEP

Structure and theme

We plan menus, collections, filters and page templates. We configure an official theme or agree the custom sections. The mobile journey is reviewed from the first working version.

03 · STEP

Catalog and content

We import the agreed number of products from a clean CSV or another structured source. Variants, prices, images, collections, metafields and internal links are checked.

04 · STEP

Markets, checkout and integrations

We configure Shopify Markets, languages, domains, shipping, taxes and available payment providers. The merchant verifies the payment account and approves legal business data.

05 · STEP

Analytics, SEO and advertising

We connect GA4, Meta Pixel, Search Console and the agreed catalogs. Canonicals, sitemap, robots, metadata, indexable templates and checkout events are checked.

06 · STEP

QA, launch and handover

We test core devices, forms, cart, discounts, email, payment and shipping paths. After approval, we connect the domain, hand over access, record a short walkthrough and start the support period.

/ launch scope

What we configure before launch

The exact scope follows the package, yet the technical baseline is consistent: the store must accept a test order, send essential events to analytics and give search engines coherent crawl and index signals.

Storefront and UX

Home, collection, product, cart and information pages, navigation, search, filters, mobile QA and accessible interface states.

Catalog

Products, variants, collections, metafields, tags, images and import rules. The number of records handled by UPLIFY is stated in the package.

Markets

Languages, currencies, domains or subfolders, geographic rules and hreflang. Translation is included only when it is named in the estimate.

Checkout

Shipping, tax, policies, notifications and an available payment provider. The merchant gives final approval to legal and commercial terms.

Measurement

GA4 ecommerce, Meta Pixel, Search Console, test events and a verification log. Merchant Center and advertising accounts follow the package scope.

SEO and GEO

Clear structure, metadata, canonicals, sitemap, indexing, schema and pages with direct answers. Visibility and rankings depend on the market and are not guaranteed.

Terms that protect the timeline and budget

Paid separately

The Shopify plan, domain, paid theme, apps, provider fees and third party licenses are paid directly by the client. We approve every recurring cost before connecting it.

Payment schedule

50% at kickoff, 30% after the staging version is approved, and 20% before launch or handover. Custom projects tie payments to the technical plan milestones.

When the timeline starts

Timing starts after the deposit and receipt of access, brand assets, catalog, shipping rules, legal details and a named client owner for approvals.

Revisions and scope changes

Launch includes one visual revision round. Growth and Markets include two. New templates, integrations or content are estimated first and added to the scope in writing.

Policies and payments

We configure pages and technical fields. The merchant approves legal copy, taxes, returns and payment provider data. Service availability depends on the business country.

Support after launch

The support period covers defects within the approved scope. New features, content, campaigns, third party app changes and payment provider operations are estimated separately.

Questions before kickoff

01How much does a Shopify store cost to build?

Launch costs $1,500, Growth $2,900 and Markets $4,900. Custom projects start at $8,500. The Shopify plan, domain, paid theme, apps, payment provider fees and third party licenses are outside these fees. Before kickoff, we record scope, recurring costs and the payment schedule in the estimate.

02How long does Shopify website development take?

A small store on an official theme typically takes 2-3 weeks. A build with custom sections, analytics and two markets takes 3-5 weeks. Migration or a multilingual launch takes 5-8 weeks. Timing starts after we receive access, catalog data, brand assets and approved sales rules.

03Are translation and product entry included?

The package includes technical localization and processing of the stated number of products from a clean, structured source. Full translation, product copywriting and manual cleanup of an unstructured catalog are included only when named in the estimate. This keeps the timeline clear and separates development from an unknown content workload.

04Can you migrate a store from another platform?

Yes. Markets includes migration from one platform, up to 500 products from a structured source and a map for up to 300 priority redirects. Before quoting, we inspect exports, variants, customer data, orders, images and current URLs. We cannot guarantee retained Google rankings, though the migration plan reduces avoidable technical risk.

05Which payment methods can Shopify support?

Provider availability depends on the merchant's registration country, bank, currency and KYC requirements. During discovery, we check the available routes. The merchant opens and verifies the payment account. Shopify Payments should not be assumed to work in every country, so this decision is recorded before checkout development.

06What do you test before launch?

We place test orders and check mobile and desktop journeys, cart, discounts, shipping, tax, email and the payment path. GA4, Meta Pixel, canonicals, robots, sitemap, metadata, redirects and access to priority pages are reviewed separately. The store opens only after written client approval.

07Will the store be ready for Google Ads and Meta Ads?

Launch includes GA4, Meta Pixel and Search Console. Growth adds ecommerce events, Meta catalog, Merchant Center and Clarity. Markets includes feed and priority page structure checks. Merchant Center, ad account and product approvals remain platform decisions, so we do not present approval as a guaranteed outcome.
